Copper State Communications, the only technology services provider to offer a full suite of solutions to Arizona’s SMBs and enterprises, celebrates its 35th year doing business on May 16, 2017. The company’s decades of serving businesses both big and small around the state — supplying phone systems, cabling, voice, data, cloud, and managed services — have bolstered its commitment to its customers and to leading Arizona’s tech scene.
Steve Sutton, one of the founders of Copper State Communications, said that at the core of the company’s mission is building relationships, and that tenet has reigned true over the last three and a half decades.
Launched in Tucson in 1982 out of the founders’ homes, the company quickly hired staff and rented incubator space within one year as it gained momentum. Copper State developed some key partnerships early on that helped it to launch into the telecom, IT, and now cloud spaces. Eventually, it was able to support large clients, government entities, and has come to serve multiple verticals and technology needs.
